Austrian Montenegrin Partnership is cooperating with two National Parks: National Park Biogradska Gora, one of a few primeval forests left in Europe and one of the oldest protected areas of the world; Lovćen National Park, situated near the coast, characterized by a sensational vista, rich flora and fauna as well as delves and caves.
But we also support the other national parks by programs such as the development of interactive educational paths, the design of info centers and national park visitor programs.
Objectives
- Development of the National Parks as a sustainable touristic asset of their regions
- Increase of the number of visitors (capacity raising, better use of capacity) for creating income to the National Parks
Activities
- Technical assistance by drafting programs for target groups and packages for school classes, families and others
- Training courses and education for national park guides
- Development of an interactive educational trail in both national parks, Biogradska Gora and Lovćen
- Development and design of adequate marketing activities
- Publishing information materials such as folders, brochures
